Bajofondo electronic meets Tango, Uruguayan-Argentinean sounds

If you like Tango, you may like what groups like Bajo Fondo, and Gotan Project are doing by fusioning styles, and creating something new, with a strong taste of this region of the world. I'll let the music do the talking.

Excellent band!! The youtube version does not play the entire sound clip of the Uruguayan soccer goal towards the end. The version on the album does. It makes my hair on my arms stand up whenever I hear it. Eso es el orgullo uruguayo!

Hi, Excellent blog, although the name is not the best.
The music is not Argentinean, I can understand that foreigners associated Tango only with Argentina, but it is a River Plate music. So the music is entirely Uruguayan. Tango is as Uruguayan as Argentinean. We are a common cultural region with two different states. So the name should read 'Bajofondo electronic meets Tango, Uruguay sounds' or 'River Plate sounds'.

Thank you for the blog, it is great!!
